No, V8 rates are only available when you use a V8 phone card. They're not available when making calls without using V8.
What denominations do V8 phone cards come in?

What happens when I've used up the value on my V8 card?
You can top up the value on your V8 card whenever it's running low. Topping up regularly ensures your V8 card never expires. Find out how to top up your

When will my V8 card expire?
The value on your V8 card expires 3 months after the first time you use it or the last time you top it up them, (whichever is the latter). As long as you top up your V8 card at least once every 3 months, it will never expire.
Can I use V8 to make national calls?
V8 can be used to make national calls but not by dialling 449. Instead, use the Compass local access number for your area, to access the V8 service. Your call to the local access number may be charged to you by your toll or phone provider at their prevailing rate. Your call from V8's service will be charged at V8 rates.
V8 is not the most cost effective way to make national or international calls from a landline. If you're not making international calls from a Vodafone mobile, take a look at the rest of the Compass range of phone cards to find the one that best suits.

What happens if my card runs out of money while I'm talking to someone?
If your V8 card is running low on funds, you'll be asked if you want to top it up before you make a call. While you're talking, V8 will tell you when you have 3 minutes left, then one minute left and it will end your call for you when your balance reaches zero.
How secure is my V8 phone card?
Please treat your V8 card as if it were cash. If you lose it, anyone can make calls to the value of the balance you have on your card.

Will my free minutes be affected when I use V8?
No, because there's no charge to call 449 from your Vodafone mobile. You only pay V8 rates from when your international call connects.
